The TCS home-school program is designed to give students a “school day” experience, which ultimately remains under the final management of the parent. Students will have access to the daily experiences of full time students as they develop their walk with Christ. This shared experience will give home-school students the potential of receiving dedicated instruction in all content areas, in addition to art, music/band, computers, Spanish, and physical education classes (all depending on the schedules). Based on TCS scheduling, it is unlikely all special classes will be offered on Monday/Wednesday/Friday.

All grading will be done by the parent except in subjects (i.e. art, music, etc.) which occur outside of the classroom setting and meet only one day a week. In those cases, student progress will usually be handled by specials teachers. A report card may be generated if parents provide subject grades (math, reading, Bible) one week prior to the end of the quarter.

We would like students to attend the first 3 weeks of school to help form relationships, establish routines and procedures, and acclimate to the rhythm of school. In addition, they should also attend the final 2 weeks of school. In the event of a snow day or other school cancellation on M/W/F, students may attend the next day. The shortened week before Thanksgiving, students may attend M/T due to classroom parties. Students may participate in field trips that occur on T/Th, however, special dress up days that occur on T/Th are not a reason to attend school that day. Hybrid students are not eligible to receive Special Services nor are tuition discounts applicable for this program, other than the multiple child discount.

Expectations of Teachers/Parents/Students

Teachers:

  1. Instruct as scheduled M/W/F.
  2. Provide a list of curriculum textbooks and standard school based supplies. Teacher's Manuals and Answer Keys are available for purchase through TCS if desired.
  3. Meet with parents weekly on Mondays to provide an overview of general weekly lesson plans and assignments available via Renweb.
  4. Update parents accordingly of any adjustments to lesson plans/assignments/schedules.
  5. Record attendance/tardies.

Parents:

  1. Adhere to school policies, including dress code, school calendar, etc.
  2. Meet each Monday with teachers to obtain an overview of lessons for the week, if desired.
  3. Grade and monitor student progress. (Teacher's Manuals and Answer Keys are not provided by TCS but are available for purchase through TCS if desired, GRADES 2-5 ONLY.)
  4. Parents provide subject grades (reading, math, Bible, etc.) one week before the quarter ends if they would like a report card generated. A cover sheet explains grades are provided by parents as children are participating in a homeschool hybrid program.

Students:

  1. Adhere to safe school and all behavior expectations.
  2. Actively engage in all opportunities.
  3. Present themselves according to their Christian Walk.
  4. Bring materials to/from home and school as needed.
  5. Complete assignments on T/Th and return with materials needed for school MWF.

**PLEASE NOTE:

  • All Home-School Hybrid students are required to attend full-time the first three weeks and final two weeks of school.
  • Hybrid student enrollment is capped in all grade levels and subject to approval by EL or MS Principal on a yearly basis. These caps may change from year to year based on overall enrollment numbers and other factors.

RaiseRight Tuition incentive Program

Introducing an easy way to save on tuition simply by purchasing gift cards! The RaiseRight Tuition Incentive Program (formerly called TRIP) is a fundraiser for Tri-unity Christian School that DOESN’T COST YOU anything – in fact, you MAKE money by using this program. It is one of the only fundraisers that:

  1. Doesn’t cost anyone anything!

  2. Reduces tuition for YOU!

  3. Benefits the school financially!

Here is how it works. By purchasing gift cards for everyday or special purchases that you would be making anyway, you receive a percentage of that purchase back in the form of a tuition rebate. The more you purchase these gift cards, the more you will save on tuition – and the more the school will benefit from their portion of the rebate. It has NEVER been easier to start saving and fundraising now!

The RaiseRight program is open to anyone (you, your friends, and relatives!) wanting to get in on these savings and fundraising.
